Bath Building Society

Bath Investment and Building Society was established as a friendly society in 1904 and incorporated under the Building Societies Act in 1953.

In recent years the Society has traded under its shortened title of Bath Building Society, but they still retain the initial letters of their registered name in their corporate logo - indeed most of their thousands of clients refer to them simply as BIBS.

Their head office is situated in the heart of the beautiful Georgian City and the Society plays a major role in the locality by supporting and sponsoring charitable activity which, they believe, enhances the infrastructure of the city to which they owe their success.

They take pride in the quality of their service and this requires us to be committed to a high level of training, the employment of hi-tech equipment and a flexible policy in assessing the viability of a mortgage application. They really do mean it when they say that each case is considered on its merits.

Bath Building Society subscribes to the Banking Code and complies with the Mortgage Code. Any complaints they cannot settle may be referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
