Do Newcastle Building Society Building Society offer competitive products? Newcastle Building Society Building SocietyThe Newcastle’s origins go back to 1861 although their current format is the result of a merger between the Grainger and Newcastle Permanent Building Societies in 1980. Part of their Principal Office in the centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne is housed in a listed building which was designed by the renowned North East architect John Dobson as a "lying-in" or maternity hospital in 1826. Newcastle Buiding Society is one of the strongest mutual building societies in the UK and the largest to be based in the North East of England. They will continue to take advantage of new technologies in order to provide innovative products and services to our members, while at the same time, the Newcastle will remain firmly committed to its branch network, which currently extends to 53 across the UK and in Gibraltar. Our mutual status is very important to us and by retaining it, they feel they are better placed to continue to provide the quality of service on which their reputation has been built. They recognise three key groups of people who have a stake in the future of the Society. These stakeholders are their employees, their customers and the communities in which they operate. The Society has a strong presence in the North East of England, although their offices stretch from as far as Falkirk in the north to Peterborough in the south and overseas to Gibraltar. Because of the diversity of their distribution outlets, geography is no obstacle to their business. What’s more, Newcastle Building Society customers have access to a growing variety of financial services through the excellent relationships they have built with other organisations. |
